Army Ten-Miler, 2017 - October 8 2017
~ Run alongside those that fight for our country - the third longest 10 mile road race in the world, the iconic course begins and ends at the Pentagon in Arlington, and weaves through the National Mall providing a unique running experience!
Columbus Day Weekend in Washington DC - October 6-9 2017
~ Join in the National Wreath laying ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of Christopher Columbus. The Memorial Statue is located at Union Station, and neighboring embassies as well as the general public lay wreaths honoring his accomplishments to our nation.
Bethesda Row Arts Festival 2017 - October 14-15, 2017
~ The annual arts show in Bethesda is a feast for the eyes! Art ranging from paintings to performance (over 180 participating artists), the event truly is a collectors paradise, and your average admirer’s wondrous afternoon.
Rockville Antique Car Show 2017 - October 14, 2017, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The rain date for this event is Saturday, Oct. 21.
~ Over 500 makes and models (antiques of course!) strut their stuff and allow attendees to see the advancements in automobiles up close and personal! Food, drink and flea markets also take place at the show!
Mount Vernon Fall Harvest Festival - October 21-22, 2017, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
~ Step back in time to celebrate the season! The family friendly event boasts carriage rides, hay bales, mazes and early American games!
Washington International Horse Show 2017 - Dates: October 24-29, 2017
~ Equine lovers gather to see this amazing event hosted at the Verizon center. Various tournaments including dressage, barrell races, equitation and an adorable terrier race to take the edge off the intense competition!
The DC High Heel Drag Queen Race 2017 - Tuesday, October 24, 2017. The race begins at 9 p.m. Participants and spectators gather as early as 6 p.m.
~ This amazing event is not to be missed! Gather at Dupont Circle to watch the adorned Drag Queens make the mad dash down 17th St, showcasing their most elaborate garb and glitz!
Kids Euro Festival 2017 - October 21 - November 4, 2017

~ Visit the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden, Children's Garden and South Lawn of the White House. Additionally, the White House Kitchen Garden – the first vegetable garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt’s Victory Garden – is also accessible to guests.
