The wonderful surrounding neighborhood and local amenities are compelling, and we felt safe at all hours.
It’s incredibly conveniently located, and the walkability is superb. The proximity to Metro is a big draw, too.
Check in & check out were easy, as was accessing the apartment as we came & went throughout our stay.

The home itself is quite comfortable, is perfectly furnished, has super comfy bed, and is sooo quiet at night.
It is kitted out with everything one might need during their stay, and the host’s communication was stellar.
It’s exceptionally clean, which we very much appreciate.
This might well be the most cohesive, tidy, and easeful set up of the airbnbs we’ve stayed at so far.

“We were travelling in the US with our 3 adult children (20, 23, 28) and it was our first time in Washington. I highly recommend this place: the apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean, well equipped, good Wifi connection, well located near Capitol in a safe neighbourhood. We had everything for cooking. We did not experience noise as mentioned in other comments, it was quite quiet.
Our only bad experience was with the luggage: we arrived in Washington by plane at 1 pm but could not drop the luggage before 4 pm and same problem when we left. We were proposed alternatives (for free at HSC office or in a luggage hero place) but it was not so close and difficult when you have no vehicle and do not know the city. Next time, I will pay more attention to check in/out times and planes arrival/departure times.”
“We had a great time at Lara’s home. Check-in was smooth and simple. The home was lovely and clean. We heard the owner’s dog’s cutest footsteps above us throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean and well-organized. However, the neighborhood surrounding the home wasn’t the greatest. During our stay, there was a drive-by shooting about a block and a half away from our home. The local Wendy’s was slow and disorganized. There were some conveniences, however, such as a SafeWay next to the home which allowed us to get snacks and other things for our stay. The metro was about two blocks from the home which was very convenient for us when visiting the DC Mall and monuments. Parking was a bit of a hassle. We were lucky enough to find a spot that didn’t require a permit for the duration of our stay. The host(s) were very communicative and helpful with information about check-in and check-out.”
