“DC is a full of expensive accommodations, so Airbnb is generally the best option. I lived in this neighborhood and am comfortable here, this basement apartment included. The lack of windows is always hard, but is the sacrifice for affordability. In general this flat is okay, but some strange quirks led to my 4 vs 5 star rating.”

“This apartment was in a great location. Quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of the Metro (and only a few stops away from everything touristy in the city). Owner was very responsive and friendly. Everything was clean and as pictured. Another major plus was the parking – free and easily accessible. We did not realize that it’s a space inside of a house which may have been an oversight on our part. There was someone else stating above or below us on Saturday night that were up talking until 3am. This is no fault of the owner but good to know that other tenets can be very easily heard. Otherwise we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.”

“We had a wonderful stay in DC at this home. There was plentiful street parking, and some really cute stores nearby. The house was very well appointed and very comfortable. I would recommend this house to friends looking for a place to stay in DC and would stay here again in the future!”

“Positive: – Was clean. – The black make up towels was an excellent idea. – All the stuff and cleaning supplies in the kitchen and bathroom was more than enough. Negative: – No any drawer for a longer staying, just a little room in the only available little closet where were the extra bed supplies, and other stuff. – The extra sofa-bed wasn’t either comfortable enough for longer stayings. – The HAC control wasn’t available , we had to call for knowing how to get the right temperature, the first nights the apartment was too cold . – I found two spiders (regular sized), one ; in the bathroom, and other one; in the kitchen. – ONLY THE NIGHT BEFORE leaving; they emailed the last instructions ; – We should leave at 10.00 am (sharp time), we hadn’t trouble because we were two adults that left at 8.00 am, but, what do the guests with kids, or with flights that leave later , do with their luggage? * The worst; In that email, they sent the link with the city trash rules , collection dates, etc ; That shouldn’t be guests ‘s problem, and even they did dare us ; “ In case we didn’t do it correctly, we were going to be charged with the city penalty “. Can’t they even trash the garbage bags in the outside correct containers? ; The instructions said ; “ Trash inside a closed bag in the green container , and recycle in the blue one “nearest containers to the property” , that are out, in the back side ,….. we found four different “nearest” containers with the numbers of the apartments !!! , but none of them had the number of this apartment ( #72 ), so we did it as they said; In the “ nearest containers “.”
