“A cute space! The hosts were very responsive. The location was 2 minutes from the nearest bus stop, about 10-15 minutes from the metro; about 25-40 mins from many major DC attractions if using public transport. The Airbnb area itself is very quaint and residential. We felt comfortable and safe walking around during the night and day.
Would recommend if you want to stay in a quiet and accessible area while visiting DC!”
“The location was great- a peaceful residential neighbourhood, with local restaurants and shops about 15 mins walk away but the metro stop was only 2 mins walk, and then a direct line to all the main sights in the city. The house was comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and a nice outdoor seating area.”
“Positive:
The location was very convenient, and the space itself was well-suited for me. As advertised, the apartment included a good range of appliances and basic necessities. However, it quickly became clear that the condition of the flat had changed since my friend—who recommended it—last stayed there.
Negative:
There were maintenance and usability issues. The tea kettle had a broken release mechanism, and there were no instructions provided for the pod coffee maker. Additionally, nearby construction made the environment noisy at times.
More concerning was the condition of the refrigerator, which had clearly not been working properly for some time. There was mini-fridge on site with a note suggesting it was a temporary workaround, indicating the issue had been ongoing. However, the mini-fridge was unplugged and needed cooling before using. When I reported this, the management company did respond in a reasonable timeframe and offered to send a technician during or after my stay. However, resolving a major appliance issue is not something a guest should have to deal with, especially since this was a known issue.
It’s unfortunate that the owner has entrusted the property to a management company that does not appear to be attentive to the care and upkeep. While expectations for guests were clearly communicated, there was little effort to make up for the inconveniences caused by these unresolved issues.”
“For anyone that books and looks at Google images don’t get scared away. Google needs to update their neighborhood photos. The whole neighborhood is nice and new.
Parking was super easy and what a great offer for the host to offer a parking pass. Metro is walkable and super easy to navigate.
The place was beautiful and perfect size. 4 star only because certain areas were not dusted for awhile.
The mattress was amazing and still wish we could’ve figured out what brand so we can buy it for home. The pull out couch unfortunately was very uncomfortable for my son. They may just want a new mattress for it. He ended up just sleeping on the couch without pulling the bed out.
I would for sure check if this place is available if we ever come back. April was perfect time of year for not many tourist and nice weather.”
