Seasons Greenings - United States Botanic Garden - November 28 - January 5, 2019
~ All aboard! This years annual holiday show “Seasons Greenings” is showcased in the model train room. This years theme; Maine to Hawaii!  Enjoy plant based recreations of conservatories, fountains, and sculptures throughout the states are sure to wow patrons!  

Ice Skating Guides  
~ Lace up and glide onto the ice at any one of the various rinks throughout the city. 

Charity Walks in the District - Varying times and locations
~ Now is the season to get your giving on! Tons of charity walks take place this season in the area. Get some exercise for a great cause and enjoy the fall weather of DC!

Winter Theater
~ Take in a show and enjoy DC’s wonderful theaters all over the city - see link for scheduled performances. 

Bridal Shows & Expos - Various Times and Locations 
~ Attention all brides, grooms, and wedding planners! Attend one of the many expos throughout the city to get inspiration, information and more for your upcoming nuptials. 

The Wedding Experience  - January 12th & January 19th 
~ Soon to be brides and grooms (and anyone else!) won’t want to miss this event! Get inspiration and guidance from the area’s leading wedding professonals while you sample all things wedding related! Fashion shows, cake tastings, and floral exhibitions make this event a “must see” for those planning their Big Day!

Free Community Day at National Museum of Women in the Arts - January 5th, 2020
~ Enjoy one of DC’s premier museums and their awe inspiring exhibits, for free! Experience various artistic mediums and take part in the “Fierce Women” tour; showcasing strong, inspiring female figures that challenged the heteronormative hierarchy and secured their place in the annals of history.  

Washington DC Restaurant Week - January 13-19, 2020
~ Dine in the District with amazing deals!! More than 100 participating restaurants offer pre-fixe 3 course meals for lunch ($22), brunch, and dinner ($35)! Check out the comprehensive list of associated restaurants and make reservations. 

Full Moon Experiences - National Arboretum - January 9-11, 2020
~ Take part in this magical experience and soak up those moon rays like never before! Enjoy sweeping, unobstructed views amongst the pristine arboretum! Full Moon Hikes and Full Moon Forest Bathing are offered. Please note, The two-hour walk over hilly and uneven terrain is a brisk hike, not a garden tour, so prepare accordingly. We cover about 3 miles.

Martin Luther King Jr Day Events 2020 - January 20, 2020
~ Commemorate the prolific civil rights leader at one of the many events throughout the city. Attend one of several parades, musical celebrations, or the laying of the wreath at the Lincoln Memorial where his delivery of the historic 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech, changed the world. 

Home and Remodeling Show 2020 - January 17-19, 2020
~ Attention designers and home remodelers! Take a look at the new styles in home decor, garden design, and so much more! Hundreds of experts, and even more products and services make this event a feast for the eyes. 

Women's March on Washington: January 18, 2020
~ In an effort to spread awareness about women’s rights and political standing, thousands of women will take to the street in front of the Capitol and March. This grassroots event is meant to honor women and highlight various social issues. Make history and take part in this awe inspring event!

Sips and Suppers - January 26, 2020
~ Foodies unite! In an effort to fight poverty and hunger, celebrated mixologists and chefs gather and showcase their signature dishes for a great cause. Help increase access to healthy food in the District, while enjoying an excellent meal in the process. 

Washington Redskins 
~ Attention football fans! Enjoy a game at FedEx Field and enjoy a slice of Americana!

Mount Vernon - Various Events 
~ George Washington’s 18th century estate is not to be missed. Enjoy a “living museum” as you interact with George and Martha, and experience one of the many educational (and enteratining) events ongoing this month. 

Rock Creek Park 
~ Horseback riding, trails for hiking, biking, and exploring provide a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city! 

Washington Wizards or Washington Capitals Game 
~ Enjoy a basketball or hokey game at the Capital One Arena - Home to the 2018 Stanley Cup Champions! See Ovechkin wow audiences with his famous slapshot, and enjoy some local culture!
