UniverSoul Circus: 25th Anniversary!  - June 30 - July 28, 2019

What better place to celebrate our nation's independence then at George Washington’s Estates and Garden! This awesome event includes reenactments, fireworks (of course), and a touching naturalization ceremony for 100 new US citizens!

4th of July Parades in Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia - July 4, 2019
There is no shortage of patriotism in the surrounding area - celebrate the American spirit at various parades throughout the city, and neighboring areas! 

4th of July Parties and Bar Crawls - July 4, 2019
Tons of neighborhood bars participate in the celebration and promote special events as well as activities. Some include comedy shows, lawn games, and live music - not to mention drinks!

Independence Day Barbecue Party at Melrose Georgetown Hotel - July 4, 2019, from 12-6 p.m.
In celebration of Independence Day, the notable Melrose Georgetown Hotel will fire up the grill on Thursday, July 4, for a Patio Barbecue Party from 12-6p.m. Located just steps from the Foggy Bottom Metro Station with a patio that shares a Pennsylvania Ave. address with the White House, Melrose Georgetown Hotel presents the perfect spot to watch fireworks and raise the flag with friends and family. Melrose Georgetown Hotel’s Patio Barbecue Party menu will include char-grilled hot dogs, made-to-order hamburgers, coleslaw, potato salad, freshly-popped popcorn, as well as draft beers for only $2. Visitors will be greeted with music and red, white and blue decor that is sure to instill a true feeling of patriotism. 

Smithsonian Sleepovers - July 5, 13, 19 & 28, and more dates in August. 
Kids can live the dream, and slumber beneath the T-Rex skeleton, the roaring wooly mammoths, or the Space Shuttle of the Smithsonian Museums! Have a sleepover steeped in history with your whole family. Activities, crafts, puzzles, and even an Imax viewing make this an experience not to be missed! 
Ages 8-12 are permitted, and there must be at least one adult present for every three children in any group that registers. No siblings younger than 8 are allowed, and no adults are allowed without children.

Capital Fringe Festival 2019 - Washington DC - July 9 - 25, 2019
Join the Fringe Festival, wherein more than 129 performing groups gather to celebrate those creatively inclined and take risks in their various art forms! 

2019 MBA ALL-Star Game - July 9, 2019
Celebrate the iconic week in the District with your favorite players and experience these heavyweights of baseball go head to head. Tons of interactive activities and festivities for the whole family to enjoy!

Bastille Day 2019 Events in Washington D.C. - July 13, 2019
Commemorate the French! Bastille Day, considered to be the launch of the French Revolution, is celebrated in our Nations capitol in various ways throughout DC!

Brew at the Zoo in Washington DC (National Zoo) - July 18, 2019
60 of the Nation’s finest microbreweries gather for beer sampling, in an effort to promote conservation! One of the best summer events!
Including live music, animal demonstrations and of course, beer, make for a lovely summer evening outside!

Citi Open Tennis Classic 2016 in Washington D.C. - July 27 - August 4, 2019
Recognized by the ATP World Tour as one of the top 20 tournaments worldwide, the Citi Open Tennis Classic is a competition that benefits the WTEF (Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF) while providing edge of your seat competition! 

Jazz in the Garden
Every Friday until August 23th, fellow Jazzbos and music lovers can congregate in National Gallery of Art’s Sculpture Garden for some smooth sounds and good vibes. Various musicians gather in the idyllic park to showcase their stuff, providing an excellent soundtrack to observe the art and summer sun!

2019 Wolf Trap's Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods - Various times 
Theater in the Woods is an amazing program organized by Wolf Trap National Park that showcases one family friendly performance per day. Enjoy a lovely day outside while experiencing kid-friendly entertainment. Picnics encouraged!

Outdoor concerts 2019
DC in the summertime is not complete without enjoying some live music outside! Find various artists and genres and enjoy at Yards Park, The Washington Harbour, Fort Reno, and Fort Dupont Park!

DC Cruises; Odyssey & Spirit -
Spend the day on the water and enjoy breathtaking views of the city. Often including meals and entertainment, there is no better way to view the Potomac, and stay cool in the summer!

Boat Rental on the Potomac
- Experience a day like in nature while paddling in the shadow of the monuments. Thompson Boat Center and Key Bridge Boathouse offer hourly rentals of kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards!
