Property Features

Look no further for the ideal headquarters to explore the historic city ~ experience the utmost convenience and comfort with the city waiting just outside your door, and "living" in the most geographically desirable place to be in DC!

Nestled in a historic rowhome, our perfectly formed, newly remodeled English basement can comfortably sleep six guests. Outfitted with a spacious living room and full kitchen, guests will feel right at home with all amenities at your fingertips.
The apartment boasts a queen bed in each of the bedrooms, and a brand new queen sized sofa bed in the living room/kitchen.

The open floor plan in the living room / kitchen allows for interactive evenings wherein the fun and adventure continues after the sights; making the most of guests time and creating unforgettable memories!
The home is complete with a laptop friendly workspace for those traveling on business, the devoted student, or the avid planner (there is so much to see!). Tons of light enter from surrounding windows, and high ceilings contribute to the elegant but informal suite!

The Neighborhood
This timeless neighborhood is perfect for those to experience the city as a resident rather then a tourist - Logan Circle is undoubtedly the city's best neighborhood for restaurants, bars, shops, and nightlife. The unit is directly off the Circle and is 1 block from the 14th street corridor: Whole Foods, Starbucks, CVS, and multiple bars/restaurants on every block. The city's trendiest bars and restaurants have located along 14th Street and the U Street Corridor - both within easy walking distance - so it's the perfect location for a nice dinner or to enjoy a night on the town. We include numerous recommendations in the house manual.

All of these amenities are only a short away, and so is the noise. This unit is located on a quiet residential street directly off Logan Circle.

Getting Around
Logan Circle is in the middle of all metro lines - access to the Red line, Orange/Blue/Silver, and Yellow/Green lines are located at 3 different stations all located within blocks of this unit, the closest being Shaw-Howard Metro Station. Dupont Circle, which is less then 20 minutes on foot from the home, and offers some of the best restaurants and upscale retail locations in the city!
Several bus lines have stops located less than 1 block from the unit as well. Ubers are readily available (usually a 1-2 minute wait) and it costs around $6-10 or less to get anywhere in the city due to the convenient location.

Airport Transportation
For those flying into DCA, an UberX will cost you around $13-$15. You can also take metro (Yellow line from DCA to U Street).

For those flying into Dulles, an UberX will cost you around $45. Regular taxi is roughly $75-$80. For public transportation, there's a bus that takes you from the airport to a metro station on the Orange/Blue line, and then you'd take the train to either McPherson Square (same lines) or U Street (yellow/green).

I had not experienced this high level of service before - they stocked requested food and coffee (and some unexpected treats) for us ahead of our arrival. They sent a simple email to confirm we had all we needed after we arrived, and were available (although we didn't need anything). Really great customer service experience.
THANK YOU!!! It was really awesome soooo much better than having to take the metro in 30min+ every day And way more comfortable than a hotel. I felt like Lara's team went FAR above and beyond -stocking some requested food and coffee before we arrived. She even left some beverages to welcome after a long travel day. We felt very well taken care of. Beds were great. 2 separate full bathrooms. Work desk, great wifi, full kitchen and couch/sitting area. It was perfect, perfect for our business needs. Very cost & time effective splitting this with my colleague rather than 2 hotel rooms+metro rides. Even saved some meal expenses. And being able to roll out of bed, grab some coffee and breakfast, THEN get ready and go for meetings skipped the burden and time of a restaurant breakfast. It was a quick Uber to the L'Enfant Plaza area for meetings. Great charming residential neighborhood. My colleague drove in and street parking (with the pass) was NOT a problem. Note it is a lower-level ("basement" but has windows) flat so don't expect the view overlooking Washington. Many restaurants within a few blocks. It is about a mile (easy walk) North of The White House. This was my colleague's first AirBnB experience and he was apprehensive. After this stay I found out he booked his next trip using AirBnB rather than hotel. Home Sweet City gives AirBnb a good name... thanks again.
