Come stay in our HUGE, stunning Victorian Brownstone located in the lively Capitol Hill neighborhood!
Immaculately designed, the home seamlessly melds traditional accents with modern amenities & stylish decor, providing a luxurious home base to explore DC!

The Space
Our spacious, upscale apartment can comfortably sleep eight guests in three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed & freshly renovated en suite bathroom, complete with a Rain shower head. The PERFECT way to start the day!
With the queen sized bed in the second bedroom, trundle in the third bedroom (pulls out to two singles) and a brand new Italian Leather sofa bed from Restoration Hardware; families, friends and folks on business will have plenty of room to spread out!

Traditional accents include Victorian high ceilings, darling bay window; ideal for relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, as well as a 'farmhouse' style chef's kitchen. Loads of dining seating, perfect for coworker's to gather or families to enjoy one another's company!
Private parking space included!

The Neighborhood
Just outside of your door lies the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood! Congress Market, Union Kitchen Grocery and more are a short stroll from the residence, including the iconic Eastern Market (not to be missed)!

TONS of DC's most sought after restaurants line the streets - ranging from German, Mexican, French and American - picky eaters should have no issue finding favorites. The neighborhood comes alive at night! With an array of bars, clubs and restaurants, folks can experience the the neighborhood in a totally different light once the sun goes down!
The home is nestled on a quiet tree lined street; so escaping the hustle and bustle of the Corridor is a non-issue. 
We provide a welcome pack inside the home with our recommendations as well. 

Getting Around
WALK to the United States Capitol in less then 15 minutes! Just two blocks up Massachusetts Ave is DC's hub of activity, Union Station, where you can catch the Red Line Metro. There lay the major sights as well as tons of shops, restaurants and more.  Downtown DC is a short metro ride away, be on the White House lawn in 20 minutes!

I could not have been happier with the whole staff from Home Sweet City! From initial contact, continuous communication and responsiveness to any questions or issues during our stay was top notch. It was so nice to work with a local home grown company instead of an impersonal national company. I will be recommending HWC to all of our friends and family visiting the DC area.
The property is actually as advertised and the pictures were very accurate. We were so happy with how responsive and communicative the team was to anything we needed. The property was very spacious, comfortable and so convenient to the park, supermarket, Whole Foods, liquor store - everything you could possibly need. We will be back!

Our experience was impeccable.
This home is dreamy and added tremendously to our magical experience visiting Washington DC. I will return to this home blindly and will recommend it to all my friends and family and anyone who is thinking about visiting Washington DC. It is also a Perfect location to explore the city by foot . But if if you prefer public transportation the home is Only couple blocks from the legendary Union Station.

Guests should note that the house is directly across the street from an amazing wine shop!


~ Strict NO party policy. Please note that smoking of any kind and drug use in or around the property is strictly prohibited (this includes outside spaces). If we do find evidence of illegal substances or marijuana use, the reservation will be automatically canceled with no refund. 
~ Strict NO pet policy. 
~ The basement apartment is rented on a permanent basis to friends of the owners.
~ We insist that for group bookings renters are above the age of 25, unless agreed prior to making your reservation. (Families with children under 25 are very welcome). Due to fire code and insurance requirements the property has a maximum occupancy and additional guests must have our advance approval.
~ We may ask for additional proof of identity / address (passport / drivers license etc) and reason for stay such as work contracts or permits.
~ We may ask for an additional security deposit for larger groups or longer stays. 
~ Due to our tight cleaning schedules, charges apply for unannounced late check-outs. 
~ Exterior may be monitored by exterior cameras, there are no cameras indoors. 
~The neighborhood is a strong community and everyone looks out for each other, we ask that folks please be mindful of noise that could disturb in the early mornings and late at night. 
~ While luggage is expected, we strictly prohibit large items (including, but not limited to, bicycles and exercise equipment) being brought into the unit without prior approval.
~ If your booking spans 2 weeks or longer, we may require a “deep clean” following your check-out. 
~ Prior to you checking in, the property has been inspected to confirm there are no damages and everything is in working order.  If upon checking in, you discover something broken or not working, please let us know immediately.
~ Please be sure that ALL of the windows and doors are closed if the HVAC is running.
~ Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets.
Accidental Damage Protection & Guest Verification Policy
