Nestled in a private house in the heart of the city, our darling studio apartment can comfortably sleep 3 guests in the queen sized bed in the common area, that pulls out to reveal a twin sized mattress; satisfying your bedding needs with a chic and comfortable sleeping option, that can be easily put away to reveal more floor space. 

The Space
The apartment comes complete with a modest kitchen - which includes everything but an oven (though a full convection toaster oven is included, so those so culinarily inclined will have that at their disposal) - guests can whip up a small meal before taking on the day of adventures! 

Communal area is perfect for decompressing after a day of sight-seeing; there is a TV with smart streaming capabilities, so guests can snooze to their favorite shows even at their home away from home. 

Accents of classic elegance blend perfectly with the modern industrial finishings, creating a bright space to relax while nestled in a cozy english basement.

The Neighborhood
The neighborhood is teeming with amazing restaurants, lively and unique bars as well as a plethora of entertainment options - 
from live music, comedy, improv, and stage plays; those interested in the arts or just looking to see something new will not be disappointed! 

Aside from being so close to the United States Congress, Capitol Hill is the largest historic residential neighborhood in Washington DC, stretching easterly in front of the United States Capitol along wide avenues. It is one of the oldest residential communities in Washington, and, with roughly 35,000 people in just under 2 square miles (5 km2), it is also one of the most densely populated. 
You're also a very short walk, bus, metro or Uber ride from a number of other neighborhoods not to be missed; including Union Market, Chinatown, Gallaudet University, and the Navy Yard. 

Getting Around
We're smack dab in the middle of 3 convenient metro stations; you'll be able to take advantage of everything the city has to offer!
The Eastern Market (Orange, Silver & Blue lines) metro is just over 10 minutes on foot from the apartment, and the Potomac Avenue Metro station is a 9 minute stroll down 14th St. Head up Massachusetts Ave and be at the Stadium Armory Metro station in just over 10, and traverse the Nation's Capitol with ease and speed! 

Prefer something more active? Most central Washington DC features are all within walking, you can walk to the United States Capitol steps in just over 25 minutes (though convenient buses + metro can take you there directly as well) . Several Capital Bikeshares are located short strolls away; they offer bike rentals by the hour at excellent rates - a truly awesome way to explore the city, the Potomac Tow Path, the Anacostia Waterfront, and nearby Virginia and Maryland!  .

WALK to the lively Eastern Market / Barracks Road neighborhood in just 10 minutes - guests will have no shortage of things to buy, see, and eat!   Grocery stores, pharmacy and every other essential are just a few minutes’ walk from the home.

Sit back and relax as the finest, most highly-trained and knowledgeable guides take you through the city, to soak up the surrounding history.

House Rules
~ Strict NO party policy. Please note that smoking of any kind and drug use in or around the property is strictly prohibited (this includes outside spaces). If we do find evidence of illegal substances or marijuana use, the reservation will be automatically canceled with no refund. 
~ Strict NO pets policy. 
~ We insist that for group bookings renters are above the age of 25, unless agreed prior to making your reservation. (Families with children under 25 are very welcome). Due to fire code and insurance requirements the property has a maximum occupancy and additional guests must have our advance approval.
~ We may ask for additional proof of identity / address (passport / drivers license etc) and reason for stay such as work contracts or permits.
~ We may ask for an additional security deposit for larger groups or longer stays. 
~ Due to our tight cleaning schedules, charges apply for unannounced late check-outs. 
~ Exterior may be monitored by exterior cameras, there are no cameras indoors. 
~The neighborhood is a strong community and everyone looks out for each other, we ask that folks please be mindful of noise that could disturb in the early mornings and late at night. 
~ One parking permit can be provided for your stay. If it is not left in the apartment after your stay, there is a $500 replacement charge plus any parking fees incurred by the next guest as a result of the permit not being available. If the permit is missing on arrival please let us know and we will do all we can to locate it but we cannot guarantee it's availability. Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for any parking fees, tickets or towing charges incurred as a result of a pass not being available. Please ask about suggestions for nearby parking options.
~ While luggage is expected, we strictly prohibit large items (including, but not limited to, bicycles and exercise equipment) being brought into the unit without prior approval.
~ If your booking spans 2 weeks or longer, we may require a “deep clean” following your check-out. 
~ Prior to you checking in, the property has been inspected to confirm there are no damages and everything is in working order.  If upon checking in, you discover something broken or not working, please let us know immediately.
~ Please be sure that ALL of the windows and doors are closed if the HVAC is running.
~ Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets.
 ~ PARKING IMPORTANT! : If you need parking, you will need to request parking IN ADVANCE of your arrival, by signing up for the DC's digital parking pass program. We will provide a unique property code that allows you to request a Visitor’s Parking Pass via the portal. You will then need to print the digital pass (we cannot print passes for you) and place it on your car dashboard when you need to park. If this is not done in advance of your stay, we cannot be held responsible. If you can't print before your stay please let us know if you would like us to share nearby printing resources.
