Description

Discover all the comforts of home in this cozy apartment that’s ideal for solo business travelers or couples. Set in a renovated 1877 rowhouse, this one-bedroom rental is an oasis of understated traditional style. It’s located on one of Georgetown’s finest residential blocks, and is close to shopping, dining and many of the city’s must-sees.

The Space
This home has its own private garden—a rare luxury in the city. After a day working or exploring the city, unwind with an al-fresco glass of wine, or cozy up inside around the gas fireplace. It’s the ideal retreat for a city break or extended stay.

The private front entrance welcomes you to a custom designed interior space filled with original art, lovely antiques, and an extensive library. A pair of fold-away doors connects the living room to the bedroom, whose cream-colored walls and antique furnishings surround a comfortable queen-size bed. Follow the hallway to the charming powder room and a fully-equipped kitchen, all filled with timeless antiques and modern appliances. The full bathroom, supplied with luxury soaps and hair products, is up the stairs on the second level*. The third level has a small storage area.

While this beautifully appointed home is an attraction in itself, its appeal also comes from its great location. Everything you need is nearby—grocery markets, drug stores, dry cleaners, even a charcuterie and a wine store. The apartment is within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, stores, and parks, as well as Georgetown University, George Washington University, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Potomac River waterfront.

Dumbarton Oaks is a nearby historic estate and museum with well maintained gardens and majestic trees. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of Georgetown. The apartment provides guests with two complimentary seasonal passes which gives you unlimited access to the gardens, expedited entry, and a ten-percent discount to the Museum Shop.
*Because of the stairs, the apartment is not suitable for toddlers and those with mobility issues.
