The Space
Despite the bustling street, guests will find themselves perched above the super lively Petworth neighborhood, where they'll have everything at their fingertips in as well as a peaceful respite from the street below.

We can comfortably sleep 5/6 guests by use of the below;
- King sized bed in the master bedroom
- Queen sized bed in the second bedroom
- Roomy L-shaped sleeper couch with extra chaise section could sleep an adult or 2 kids easily in the living space.

The apartment boasts a wall of windows and guests can enjoy panoramic views and see right across to the National Cathedral, there's no shortage of natural light! Rest assured, there are luxurious, high end blinds that will block out the smallest sunlight, so even the lightest sleeper should expect restful nights.

There is a new contemporary kitchen with all modern appliances so those hoping to eat in will have everything necessary to whip up their favorite "home cooked" meals.

There is a Smart TV in the wide open living space (as well as one in the master bedroom), so guests can stream their favorite shows after sight-seeing, or while cooking dinner from two to twenty!

The apartment boasts a dining table with plenty of seating nestled beside the kitchen - flanked by windows-  so guests can people & city watch while they have their morning cup of coffee, or evening glass of wine.

Just pop downstairs to enjoy a plethora of amazing dining options, and the city as your oyster; we provide tons of our neighborhood favorites and local recommendations, as well as getting around guides to help guests make the most out of their stay!

The Neighborhood
The Petworth neighborhood is newly trending and becoming popular with families and the younger DC crowd as it's residential, but has great access to downtown. There is a true sense of community, and everyone looks out for each-other; porch culture reigns supreme, families pushing prams, and neighbors greeting each-other with smiles are common sightings!

You will find lots of great little eateries and coffee shops nestled among the tree lined streets. Lincoln's Cottage (off of Rock Creek Church Road), where President Lincoln used to vacation when he wanted to get away from the city is a short stroll from the home. The nearby Rock Creek Cemetery dates back to 1712;  both the Cemetery and the Armed Forces Retirement Home are on the National Register of Historic Places. We have a welcome ipad full of our favorite local recommendations.

Getting Around
With a walk score of 95%, Buses flank the surrounding areas, and can take you all over the city, but exploring on foot is an easy option as well!
We are within 8 minutes on foot from the Georgia Ave-Petworth Metro Station (which follows the green and yellow lines).
You can be at the Judiciary Square Metro Station  (under 25 minutes transit time), which is nestled among the major sights, including the U.S. Capitol Building, the Smithsonian Museums, and the National Mall.

Uber and Lyft taxi's are plentiful in the area as well (and we provide coupon codes to take $$ off)!

Everyone we needed to talk to in regards to our reservation we VERY helpful. Our original stay was set for the end of March. Due to Covid-19 and the shut downs, we pushed our stay out to the end of July. Everyone was so nice to work with and had no problems helping us change our dates.
The apartment was updated and felt new. Very clean and comfortable. Big windows let in a lot of light and were perfect for people watching below, but also had fantastic blinds when we were ready for privacy. The location was about 1/4 mile walk from the Metro that took us where we needed to go. On the days we did rent a car, paid parking (free between 6:30pm to 7:00am) was easy to find, usually right outside our door.

We loved the proximity of the property to the bikeshare, scooters, and a quick 4 block walk to the metro station. Lots of tasty food and drink options were available, so we didnt have to travel far if we didnt need to. We will definitely look at this property whenever we visit DC again.
