Come stay in our lovely bijou house in DC's gorgeous Capitol Hill neighborhood. Enjoy being a short stroll from H St's exciting restaurants and bars, while nestling quietly on a leafy street - the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring!

Cuter accommodations are hard to find - styled with the traveler in mind, guests can enjoy an impeccably clean and bright space.  Just outside your door lies authentic city living - modern amenities create a wonderful juxtaposition of history meets modernity!

Sleeps eight guests comfortably by use of the below;
~ Queen sized bed in the master bedroom, and a trundle bed (two singles)
~ Queen sized bed in the second bedroom, and a fold out futon large enough for one guest)
~ Twin fold down futon in the living space 

Open floor plan, excellent lighting and WiFi is perfect for those traveling on business; for those traveling for pleasure - the search stops here.  There is a large SmartTV which allows guests to log into their personal Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Hulu accounts and more, to stream to their heart's content (the 2nd bedroom also includes a Smart TV - for those who can't fall asleep without their favorite shows). 

A stunning, BRAND new, chef's kitchen is begging to be enjoyed, complete with all appliance and loads of light. With tons of shops and farmer's markets surrounding the area, a quick pop out for supplies is convenient, and encouraged. 
That being said, some of the best restaurants in the District are a short stroll away, so for those not culinarily inclined; this is THE place for you!

Enjoy the communal layout; guests can interact in the open living area, and retreat to the seclusion of the bedrooms for a touch of privacy. Private backyard space with seating is included for guests to enjoy their morning joe, or wind down in the evenings with a glass of wine!  

Parking for one vehicle included (one private space in a locked garage) - a rarity in D.C.!

The Neighborhood
The neighborhood is teeming with amazing restaurants, lively and unique bars as well as a plethora of entertainment options - 
from live music, comedy, improv, and stage plays; those interested in the arts or just looking to see something new will not be disappointed! 

Aside from being so close to the United States Congress, Capitol Hill is the largest historic residential neighborhood in Washington DC, stretching easterly in front of the United States Capitol along wide avenues. It is one of the oldest residential communities in Washington, and, with roughly 35,000 people in just under 2 square miles (5 km2), it is also one of the most densely populated. 

TONS of DC's most sought after restaurants line the streets - ranging from German, Mexican, French and American - picky eaters should have no issue finding favorites. The neighborhood comes alive at night! With an array of bars, clubs and restaurants, folks can experience the the neighborhood in a totally different light once the sun goes down!

The home is nestled on a quiet tree lined street; so escaping the hustle and bustle of the Corridor is a non-issue. We're also a short stroll from a lovely grassy refuge in the Historic Lincoln Park. The eastern end of the park includes two separate, enclosed play areas for young children. The grassy perimeter and central turf area are popular with neighborhood dogs and their owners.

We provide a welcome pack inside the home with our recommendations as well. 

You're also a very short walk, bus, metro or Uber ride from a number of other neighborhoods not to be missed; including Union Market, Chinatown, Gallaudet University, and the Navy Yard. 

Getting Around
WALK to the United States Capitol in 20 minutes! Just a few blocks up Massachusetts Ave is DC's hub of activity, Union Station, where you can catch the Red Line Metro. The D6 bus can take you there directly in under 15. There lay the major sights as well as tons of shops, restaurants and more.  Downtown DC is a short metro ride away. 

Other Things to Note
Please be aware that the parking space is only large enough for a vehicle 179″ L x 73″ W x 65″ H (Toyota Rav4 is roughly the size)

House Rules
~ Strict NO party policy. Please note that smoking of any kind and drug use in or around the property is strictly prohibited (this includes outside spaces). If we do find evidence of illegal substances or marijuana use, the reservation will be automatically canceled with no refund. 
~ Strict NO pets policy. 
~ We insist that for group bookings renters are above the age of 25, unless agreed prior to making your reservation. (Families with children under 25 are very welcome). Due to fire code and insurance requirements the property has a maximum occupancy and additional guests must have our advance approval.
~ We may ask for additional proof of identity / address (passport / drivers license etc) and reason for stay such as work contracts or permits.
~ We may ask for an additional security deposit for larger groups or longer stays. 
~ Due to our tight cleaning schedules, charges apply for unannounced late check-outs. 
~ Exterior may be monitored by exterior cameras, there are no cameras indoors. 
~The neighborhood is a strong community and everyone looks out for each other, we ask that folks please be mindful of noise that could disturb in the early mornings and late at night. 
~ While luggage is expected, we strictly prohibit large items (including, but not limited to, bicycles and exercise equipment) being brought into the unit without prior approval.
~ If your booking spans 2 weeks or longer, we may require a “deep clean” following your check-out. 
~ Prior to you checking in, the property has been inspected to confirm there are no damages and everything is in working order.  If upon checking in, you discover something broken or not working, please let us know immediately.
~ Please be sure that ALL of the windows and doors are closed if the HVAC is running.
~ Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets.
