The Space
High ceilings and the abundance of light grabs your attention when you first enter this beautiful space. The apartment covers the entire top floor of a traditional rowhome. Complete with a state of the art ultraviolet/charcoal air purification system, this really is an oasis in the city!

There is a full kitchen, a fabulous island perfect for working at or gathering with friends and family while cooking dinner. The living area has a super comfy couch to kick back and stream your favorite shows TV (Smart TV included.) Enjoy your morning coffee or cocktails out onto the beautiful deck, your own private oasis in the city!

The full kitchen is complete with dishwasher, range/oven, full refrigerator, toaster, microwave, electric kettle and coffee maker, teapot, and is stocked with glassware, plates, utensils, pots/pans, spices, cutlery, and (hopefully) everything you might want to prepare a delicious meal!

Creature Comforts
The master bedroom is airy and spacious with it’s huge bay window, queen bed, your own en-suite bathroom and walk in closet. The bathroom is stocked with a variety of natural and eco-friendly bath products for your use. (Black-out shades included).

The second bedroom is flexible as a sleeping space utilizing the pull out couch or a nice bright office space, complete with a huge desk, office chair and great WIFI for those needing to work from home.

Other things to note
COVID 19: For your complete peace of mind, the home is PROFESSIONALLY cleaned and disinfected in between stays using CDC recommended products and safety equipment. 24hr block is implemented between guest bookings for extra protection.
Parking: There is a PRIVATE parking space for one car that guests will have access to. 
Steps: Once inside the apartment there is a full flight of steps to access the unit.
Air Purifier: The apartment boasts a state of the art Ultraviolet/Charcoal Air Purification system.

The Location
Quiet street easy walking distance to the bustling nightlife of Shaw and the U St Corridoor, and access to easy public transit, uber / lyft and bike share schemes. You're also a short, 15 min walk from Chinatown, where you can access the major sights. The White House, mall, monuments and museums are only a 30 minute walk. 

Walk around the corner and catch a wide range of music shows at the historic Howard Theater, or a few more blocks to the famous “9:30 Club”. A short distance in either direction takes you to the Right Proper Brew Pub, the Shaw Tavern, Bistro Boehm, Shaw Library, and a bucketful of coffee houses, fitness centers and “pop-up” eating and entertainment venues.

Whole Foods Market is walking distance as well as Trader Joe's, pharmacies and other boutique gift, clothing and furniture stores on 14th st NW.

Getting Around
With such quick and easy access to the metro you can be at the National Mall, White House, the Capitol, Monuments and Museums, The Wharf or practically anywhere else in the city in 20 minutes or less.  
- THREE Metro stations: 10 minutes to Shaw/Howard, 10 minutes to Mt. Vernon Square, Convention Center and 20 minutes from the NoMa-Gallaudet U station.
- Nearby buses on 7th, Florida Ave & U St
- Uber & Lyft surround the area, 
- If you prefer something more active, there are several Capital Bikeshare stations located a short walk away, offering bike (electric and non-electric) rentals by the hour at excellent rates - a truly awesome way to explore the city. The location boasts an impressive 90% Walk Score!!

~ Strict NO party policy. Please note that smoking of any kind and drug use in or around the property is strictly prohibited (this includes outside spaces). If we do find evidence of illegal substances or marijuana use, the reservation will be automatically canceled with no refund.

~ We insist that for group bookings renters are above the age of 25, unless agreed prior to making your reservation. (Families with children under 25 are very welcome). Due to fire code and insurance requirements the property has a maximum occupancy and additional guests must have our advance approval.
~ We may ask for additional proof of identity / address (passport / drivers license etc) and reason for stay such as work contracts or permits.
~ We may ask for an additional security deposit for larger groups or longer stays. 
~ Due to our tight cleaning schedules, charges apply for unannounced late check-outs. 
~ Exterior may be monitored by exterior cameras, there are no cameras indoors. 
~The neighborhood is a strong community and everyone looks out for each other, we ask that folks please be mindful of noise that could disturb in the early mornings and late at night. 
~ While luggage is expected, we strictly prohibit large items (including, but not limited to, bicycles and exercise equipment) being brought into the unit without prior approval.
~ If your booking spans 2 weeks or longer, we may require a “deep clean” following your check-out. 
~ Prior to you checking in, the property has been inspected to confirm there are no damages and everything is in working order.  If upon checking in, you discover something broken or not working, please let us know immediately.
~ Please be sure that ALL of the windows and doors are closed if the HVAC is running.
~ Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets.
Accidental Damage Protection & Guest Verification Policy 
~ We have partnered with SafelyStay Inc to give our guests and our homeowners added peace of mind during your stay with us! We know accidents happen so your reservation includes damage protection for you for up to ($1,500) of accidental coverage for contents and dwelling damage. For reservations longer than 29 nights, additional fees may be charged in order to extend coverage for the entire stay. We also verify the identity of our guests to prevent fraudulent or criminal activity.
