Our stunning apartment is the perfect anchor to your adventures in the District! Just 2 miles from the White House, with convenient metro access; guests can explore the city on foot & enjoy the history (and amazing restaurants) right outside. 

The Space
Your search for where to stay in DC for business or pleasure stops here! Nestled amongst Bloomingdale's iconic historic rowhomes (alongside some amazing restaurants, cafes and bars), you will find our spacious, renovated two-bedroom lower level apartment brimming with old world charm & modern amenities.

The apartment has excellent WiFi, a laptop friendly workspace, a large smart TV (allows streaming and access to personal Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon Prime, HBO Go accounts, and more).

The kitchen includes all updated appliances and amenities needed to allow you to start the day or enjoy a relaxing meal in the evening.  A huge island is a perfect place to work, chat, or wind down while dinner is being prepared. 

We can comfortably sleep 4 guests in 1 queen bed and 1 full bed; one in each bedroom. The Master bedroom is spacious and has a beautifully preserved fireplace.

Finally, there is a small bistro table and 2 chairs located outside, so guests can sip their morning coffee and soak up the summer sun!

Whether you're here for a day or a month, for business or pleasure; you will truly be able to relax in this bright and airy retreat situated RIGHT in the heart of our Nation's Capital.

Guest Access
Guests have this entire 2-bedroom apartment to themselves and will be sent access to unlock the private entrance door prior to check-in.

The Neighborhood
Bloomingdale / Shaw neighborhood is a trendy neighborhood, popular with families and the younger DC crowd. It's residential, but has great access to downtown. If you want to stay in the neighborhood, stroll a few blocks down the magnificent tree-lined streets to find neighborhood favorites like Red Hen, Bacio Pizzeria, Big Bear Cafe, Showtime, The Royal, and so much more! Pop down to Yoga District for your daily workout, the (secret...shhh!) Crispus Attucks Park for a picnic, or head over to Sylvan Cafe for coffee and a quick treat. And there are many more great food options in the NoMA / Gallaudet and Bloomingdale neighborhoods. We provide a property guide stock full of our local favorites!

Getting Around
No need for a car at this location! Both the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro Station (red line) and the Shaw / Howard University Station (yellow and green lines) are a short, 15 minute walk from the home. Buses are plentiful in the area and you can catch 5 different bus lines within 4 blocks of the house. For those looking for something more active, guests can WALK to the White House, Smithsonian Museums, and so much more in just over half an hour. DC National Airport is a short 20 minute ride/uber from the home.

Other Things to Note
~ We want you to make the most of your stay, so we've partnered with DC’s longest-running city tour company Old Town Trolley Tours to help ensure an amazing visit, at the best rate possible! Sit back and relax as the finest, most highly-trained and knowledgeable guides take you through the city, to soak up the surrounding history. Feel free to give us a call to find out about the discounted rates we have secured; we can help answer any questions, and even book the tickets for you. (Ask us about the amazing Monuments By Moonlight tour, see DC at its best, lit up at night)!

~ Please be aware, access to the outside space is restricted after 9pm. 

~ You will hear a child at play, and newborn in the house above you, neighborhood dogs barking, BBQs, buses, and the occasional siren as this is an urban area. The upstairs tenants maintain quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am and will be conscious of noise during other hours, and we ask guests do the same!

~ Also note that the space is NOT a good fit for parties, or groups who plan to go out on the town until late. We are a rowhouse, with shared walls on both sides and lots of neighbors. There are children living upstairs who get up pretty early, including on the weekends.

House Rules
~ Strict NO party policy. Please note that smoking of any kind and drug use in or around the property is strictly prohibited (this includes outside spaces). If we do find evidence of illegal substances or marijuana use, the reservation will be automatically canceled with no refund. 
~ Strict NO pets policy. 
~ We insist that for group bookings renters are above the age of 25, unless agreed prior to making your reservation. (Families with children under 25 are very welcome). Due to fire code and insurance requirements the property has a maximum occupancy and additional guests must have our advance approval.
~ We may ask for additional proof of identity / address (passport / drivers license etc) and reason for stay such as work contracts or permits.
~ We may ask for an additional security deposit for larger groups or longer stays. 
~ Due to our tight cleaning schedules, charges apply for unannounced late check-outs. 
~ Exterior may be monitored by exterior cameras, there are no cameras indoors. 
~The neighborhood is a strong community and everyone looks out for each other, we ask that folks please be mindful of noise that could disturb in the early mornings and late at night. 
~ While luggage is expected, we strictly prohibit large items (including, but not limited to, bicycles and exercise equipment) being brought into the unit without prior approval.
~ If your booking spans 2 weeks or longer, we may require a “deep clean” following your check-out. 
~ Prior to you checking in, the property has been inspected to confirm there are no damages and everything is in working order.  If upon checking in, you discover something broken or not working, please let us know immediately.
~ Please be sure that ALL of the windows and doors are closed if the HVAC is running.
~ Please do NOT flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets.
~ PARKING IMPORTANT! : If you need parking, you will need to request parking IN ADVANCE of your arrival, by signing up for the DC's digital parking pass program. We will provide a unique property code that allows you to request a Visitor’s Parking Pass via the portal. You will then need to print the digital pass (we cannot print passes for you) and place it on your car dashboard when you need to park. If this is not done in advance of your stay, we cannot be held responsible. If you can't print before your stay please let us know if you would like us to share nearby printing resources.
